What actually happens
Three nights together on one property — Torah, davening, music, long meals, candlelight, late-night conversations, and the kind of time together that allows something real to form.
UnityLitt is built around creating meaningful Jewish experiences for our community. It is not simply an event designed around profit. The people behind it are people who care deeply about creating environments that feel thoughtful, beautiful, welcoming, and personal.
Torah & davening
Learning is woven throughout the experience — classes and conversations that can challenge, inspire, or simply open a new door.
Davening is also a central part of the experience. There is something powerful about standing together on Rosh Hashanah and Shabbos, hearing familiar tefillos and melodies surrounded by a community that has begun to feel like family.
The goal is not just to go through the words, but to create space for the tefillah to be felt.
Music & atmosphere
Live musicians, singing, dancing, candlelight, beautiful meals and spaces designed with intention all help shape the experience.
Live music is enjoyed before Shabbos and Yom Tov begin, and again after they have concluded. We do not play live music during Shabbos or Yom Tov themselves, allowing those sacred hours to remain fully observed while still creating joyful, energetic musical experiences around them.
The music does not disappear during the Chag. Meals often turn naturally into kumzitzes and group sing-alongs, with voices, harmonies and familiar melodies woven throughout the experience — sometimes continuing together into the late hours of the night.
Shabbos & Yom Tov
Rosh Hashanah and Shabbos are fully observed.
For a few days, the phones disappear and life becomes quieter. Meals stretch a little longer. Conversations become deeper. There is nowhere else you need to be.
Sometimes that change of pace is exactly what allows people to reconnect — with themselves, with Judaism, with Hashem, and with one another.
The people
The relationships that have grown through these experiences are one of the things we value most.
People have arrived as strangers and left with lifelong friends. Groups have continued spending Shabbosim, Yomim Tovim and trips together long after the weekend ended.
And yes — people have even met their future spouses through this community and gone on to build homes together.
That kind of camaraderie cannot really be programmed. We simply try to create the environment where it has room to happen.

The tea room stays open late with coffee, tea, snacks and somewhere comfortable to sit.
The tables are set beautifully. The food is Glatt Kosher and plentiful. Candle lighting brings everyone together as the room shifts from the energy of the day into the quiet of Shabbos and Yom Tov.
Some of the moments people remember most happen between the scheduled parts — around a table, over a cup of tea, during a song, or in a conversation that nobody planned.
Why we do it
UnityLitt grew out of a desire to build something for our community.
The people who help plan, organize and create these gatherings bring different talents — hospitality, Torah, music, design, production and community building — with one shared goal:
To create experiences that feel special enough to remember and genuine enough to become part of your life.
UnityLitt has run a Rosh Hashanah gathering every year since 2020. This is the 7th — an unbroken run, with people who have been to every one.
